| In 1954, Voith Siemens Hydro supplied two vertical mixed-flow pumps and two two-stage radial pumps for the hydropower station Rurberg.
The pumps were used for supplying drinking water in Germany’s Aachen region. One mixed-flow pump and one radial pump were combined into one unit. In 1961, the plant was expanded to include a third unit.
EWV decided in 1996 to replace all of the pumps, motors, and control systems; so it contracted with Voith Siemens Hydro for:
- three two-stage radial pumps - three single-stage mixed-flow pumps - the complete electrical package
Operations began in November 1997. |
